The question every collector eventually asks: should I grade this card first or just sell it raw? The answer depends on the specific card, its condition, and whether you've got the patience to wait for grading. Let's run through some realistic scenarios.

Scenario 1: Modern Chase Card in Great Condition

Grading cost (standard): £15
Postage both ways: £14
Total grading cost: £29

If it grades a 10: sell for £220. Profit after grading costs: £191. Net gain vs raw: £106.
